Triumph DC began as an invitation from God to influence a city that influences the world.
In 2010, during a family vacation in our nation's capital, God began to stir the hearts of Deamon & Kristine Scapin for the city of Washington, D.C.
Little did they know that two years later God would clearly and powerfully call them to transition from fifteen years of pastoral ministry at a thriving church in Texas and move their family, life, and ministry across the country to begin a new church in one of the world's greatest cities!
““We gathered in our living room on Capitol Hill with a core of 14 people, in September of 2013, and prayed that God would use us to love and serve the District of Columbia as an extension of Jesus.””
That 'launch team' prayed, planned, and began laying the foundation of a new life-giving church for the city. God began to connect them with other people from the city, metro area, and other states as the team hosted interest socials, community outreaches, and prayer initiatives.
Over the summer, Triumph DC began hosting the first monthly worship gatherings and the church began to take a fuller shape. On September 7, 2014, Triumph DC launched weekly services and opportunities to connect all over the District.
